Façade Improvement Grant
Established to provide financial assistance for persons with the designated Centertown Area making improvements or maintenance repairs to exterior facades. For the purpose of this program, the term façade includes upper stories and rear facades (that can be easily seen from a public street). Grants are currently available for up to $250 of the total cost of the improvement project, upon approval by the Design Committee. Each grant must be matched by applicant.
Design AssistanceBusinesses or property owners can complete a short 2 page application to have a consultant from Frazier Associates (architecture firm) come review their property and offer façade improvement suggestions drafted together in a bound report with drawings, pictures, and next steps. This consultation can cost nearly $900, but through Main Street, the consultation is completely free of charge. Research & Facilitation Assistance Sometimes different businesses, property owners and even the Town of Bedford might attempt a project or move into a space that needs improvement and those improvements qualify for grant funding. When applicable, Bedford Main Street will help research and attempt to procure said funding.
