Revitalizing a downtown or neighborhood commercial district requires focusing on the underlying Economic Vitality of the district.   This work is rooted in a commitment to making the most of a community’s unique sense of place and existing historic assets, harnessing local economic opportunity and creating a supportive business environment for small business owners and the growing scores of entrepreneurs, innovators, and localists alike.

The Economic Vitality Committee meets monthly on topics related to partnerships, collaboration, engagement, and fund development. The following are our three primary goals/objectives for 2018.

  1. Cultivate entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial activity throughout the district
  2. Increase/improve collaboration with stakeholders, the public, and the Town
  3. Increase/improve funding for Design Committee initiatives

Current members of the Economic Vitality Committee are:

  1. Steve Rush, Chair
  2. Jim Messier
  3. Bryan Schley
  4. Mary Grace Franchi
